#ProducersCorner – Radic The Myth

Jabulani “Radic the Myth” Kgobisa, originally hailing from Duduza a township west of Nigel, got recognition as a producer mainly through publishing his artistic works online – a trend fast becoming standard industry practice. Creating a collection of eclectic sounds that promote imagining and the need to develop a sixth sense.

The extended play takes you on a deep sensory experience, showing Radic’s impressive skills as a producer and his ability to create a coherent and synergic artistic project that exhibits a certain completeness to it. The flowing blend in each track seamlessly transitions the listener from one record to the next. This gives the illusion that you are listening to one continuous track that peaks and dives accordingly as if allowing you to adjust and prepare for the next waves of emotions.

The entire project sounds as if it was commissioned for a fictional fantasy movie and the sound design for an Imax experience.

Radic The Myth has been producing since 2008. His deep electronic productions caught the attention of Stay True Sounds label boss Kid Fonque back in 2019. ‘The Myth’ has since released 3 well-received EP’s through the label creating the imprint to his brand and for the sound that he puts out into the world today.

At the beginning of one of the world’s toughest lockdowns South Africans faced last year – Radic decided to place all his heart, soul and energy into a full-length album – an album that he describes as “poetry without words.”

The result is a beautiful 12-track soundscape focused on deep emotionally-driven electronics straight out of the land known for releasing some of the worlds deepest house music – South Africa!
