In 2018 China Charmeleon was about to quit his music career when he met Ta Ice; the guy who asked him not to quit. “Ta Ice” was one of the producers China Charmeleon looked up to, After the release of “The Animal’ under Get Loud owned by Ta Ice, he caught the ear of the legendary Dj Kent who was then link between China Charmeleon and the Radio Dj Kid Fonque, who then became a mentor.
China Charmeleon’s song “Somewhere In Tokyo” Finally found its way to light in 2019 when released on Kid Founque’s Stay True Sounds Music label, and reached global success. His record boasts

China has risen slowly like a Charmeleon from the local ranks of being resident DJ in his home town of Carolina in Mpumalanga Province. He had drawn inspiration from all kinds of genres. He especially made his mark by mixing alongside on one of the most highly acclaimed DJs in S A – DJ Kent
China Charmeleon began his career as a Dj in 2009 whilst studying to become an Civil engineer at Zinikeleni Secondary School, He became part of Friction Boys Crew in 2010 with 3 other Djs, but left the group in 2011 to pursue his solo career. He was introduced to music production by Dj Mlindos & Dj Bronto. Needless to say, that was the beginning of a new revolution led by this young talented record producer. In 2013 China Charmeleon produced an Ep called ‘Season” which was voted by Traxsource.com as one of the top 20 Deep House releases of the year, he then later caught the ear of the legendary Vinny Da Vinci
